Yoga is a personal journey - unique as you, the individual.
You may well have been drawn to yoga as part of your
journey towards peace.
Through a regular practice of yoga asana, pranayama,
mantra and meditation you may find such peace. Such practices develop intimate body and breath awareness and
can eventually offer an experience of stillness of mind
and/or a detachment from the activity of the mind.
The results can be a truer, freer sense of self; perhaps selflessness; peace in daily living.
The practice of yoga has more obvious and outwardly noticeable benefits as well. Yoga will develop openness and strength of the body and mind; balance and stability of body and being. Such added benefits are enjoyed by the self and others around you as you become noticeabely calmer, more patient and as you enjoy new levels of fitness, strength and vitality!
The yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) provide also a physical workout that tones and massages the main systems of the body. The practice
prepares the body and mind for spiritual awakening and deepening if you wish.
Peace of mind, lightness of heart and feelings of joy are the benefits Marie enjoys most.
For spiritual development Marie recommends that you add
to your progressive practice of asana, pranayama, mantra (sound vibration/one pointed attention) and mediation self study and referencing the experience of true Gurus and spiritual searchers of the past and present.
